Once more, Prof. G.Hirzinger, Honorarprofessor of the Fakultät für Informatik, makes a headline in the Münchner Merkur. After the Leibniz Prize 1995, he is awarded the Karl Heinz Beckurts Prize 1996 for the development of sensor technology and control methods for robots.
This prize is awarded for outstanding scientific and technological achievements that have led or may lead to industrial innovations. The Karl-Heinz-Beckurts-Stiftung within the Stifterverband der Deutschen Wissenschaft wishes with this prize to improve the partnership between science and technology.
